Zebra Crossing Club Product Review!

Posted by JB on Thursday Oct 2, 2008

zebra-crossing-clubHave you ever looked at the coat hooks hanging inside a school classroom? From each one dangles a backpack, splattered with Spiderman, Spongebob and Dora. I have nothing against the superheroes or childhood icons of the modern day, but I do not love all the plastic, nylon and rubberized materials they use on them. My son, only three, uses his backpack (a speed McQueen) version to carry his lunch, runners, extra clothes, water bottle, hot wheel cars and pretend cell phone to school: kind of his mini briefcase and emergency kit in one. What I am not fond of is how big and stiff it is. The nylon fabric and plasticized emblems forces it to stick out on his back more like an astronaut’s air tank than a child’s backpack. Its red color and shinning logos remind me of a fireman’s suit, and the fact that Disney has mass-produced it, means on many occasions I have picked up the other boy’s in the class backpack instead of my son’s.

To solve all of my complaints and criticisms are the delightful and cuddly designs by
Zebra Crossing Club. Their Safari Buddies are more than just a backpack; they are a friend on the move. Made from a plush, soft fur-like material, each backpack comes with its own animal buddy riding right along. Choose from creatures like a cow, bear or kangaroo, each one is removable for fun, security, comfort and practicality. They too have carrying space in their back and provide your child with a companion for long trips, first day’s art school or just an impromptu get together.

Made with a traditional carrying handle and wheels, this ensures going places is a lot more fun. Ingeniously designed, it can be used as luggage, or transformed into a conventional backpack your kids will love wearing. I personally like this because it is two items in one, and that’s just smart shopping. I take that back, it’s three items in one because of the plush, stuffed toy that comes with it.

Colorful fabrics, cute characters, soft material and made just the right size for kids, makes this one product that stands out from the rest. Easy to clean, uniquely personal and over-all very cute, I just can’t decide on one, I like them all.
