Unforgettable Christmas Traditions

“Christmas, like many other holidays, is full of tradition. When an adult looks back on his childhood he often remembers the things that were done as a part of tradition. Tradition is a broad topic. Some people look on a favorite dish during the holidays as a tradition, others consider a party with friends as tradition. Tradition is whatever you want it to be, but for kids, it’s memories of the good times, holidays or not.
This holiday season, start a new tradition, or include your kids in old holiday traditions. One great tradition in my family was to open a present on Christmas eve. It took the edge off of seeing all those presents, but being unable to open them until the next day, but it also provided a way for my parents to give us new pajamas for the next day’s inevitable photos. We would put on Christmas music, have hot chocolate, gather around the tree, and my dad would hand us each one package. In it would be a new set of pajamas, robe and slippers. The next morning, when the excitement began, we were decked out for Christmas photos…”
