Standing outside this morning to see Santa feed Rudolph at our local petting zoo, I couldn’t help but notice all the children bundled up in their winter attire. The most noticeable of all the winterwear was the array of funky hats and distinctive toques. Kids and parents alike use hats as a neat way to display a child’s character and unique personality. My daughter was in with the rest of them, sporting her fabulous fuchsia fleece hat and mitts from Muddy Cloud.
Cute, cute and more cute, is all I could say when I first saw the fabulous fleece designs from Muddy Cloud. Their bright colors and adorable designs make them an easy selection when it comes to what is not only warm, but fun. They have designed 5 one-of-a-kind characters: Joot, Doot, Tada, Balop ad Beep. Each is in a bold color, with fun shapes that includes a matching hat, mitts, doll and pillow. Their style combines the essence of being a kid with the charm of whimsical characters created to spur a child’s imagination and they made the gear to go with it. Balop looks like an apple and Joot has got the most amazing ears…it is hard not to find a smile when you see your child wearing these creations.
Muddy Cloud has made a conscious choice to design non-traditional, non gender specific characters to stimulate a child’s imagination and ideas. Is it a bear, or a rabbit, is it even a boy or girl doll? Each one allows your child to create his or her own best buddy, with a background all its own.
Made from cozy fleece, both the accessories and the clothing offer a safe and comfortable addition to your child’s wardrobe and toy box. Muddy Cloud goes one step further with interactive coloring pages, dot-to dot work sheets and a paper doll craft cut-out of one of their favourite characters. Neat finger puppets have been added to their line-up, making it a full learning and growing experience for your child.
We are delighted to have one of each of their cuddly dolls to give away to you, the readers! Visit Muddycloud.com and see their selection, then leave a comment below, stating which doll is your favorite. You’ll be entered for a chance to win your favorite doll!

I have to admit I am a bit fussy when it comes to keeping my kids clean. I have almost stopped putting them in new clothes because of the everyday spills and messes they make, ruining anything new they are wearing. My two year old is into her Play-Doh and my five-year-old insists on eating [...]

If your kids are like mine, they love stickers. I’m not sure what it is about them, but their toys, books, arms and foreheads often get plastered with them whenever I’m not paying attention. Recently, my two-year-old decided her inexpensive stickers from the dollar store would make a great addition to our front entranceway. Unfortunately, [...]

When my daughter was born, I could not imagine her growing out of the cute pink motif I plastered on the walls of her room. But as her second birthday passed last week, I see that the time has come for something a bit more fitting.
Not a fan of cartoon characters in overly bright colors, [...]

On the west coast, we’ve been fortunate enough to have had our great summer weather last far into fall. Unfortunately, as much as I wish the sunshine would stay, the cold, wet days of autumn seem to be upon us. Instead of short sleeve shirts and lightweight jackets, my kids are donning their rubber boots [...]

I recently did some over-seas travelling with my two children. If any of you have ever made a trans-Atlantic flight by yourself with two toddlers, I’m sure you can sympathize with the situation. Even though my youngest is under two, I bought her a seat to save myself from a gruelling 9 hour ride with [...]

There is something about dressing girls in those cute and adorable girly clothes that appeals to most moms. I had a friend who, when pregnant, was resisting pink and insisting her girl wasn’t going to be all lace and frills. Of course, only a few weeks after birth, her daughter was just as decked out [...]

Babies, babies, babies…it seems everywhere I go these days I am seeing so many little babies. I am not sure if I have baby on the brain (please no), or if some electrical black-out or freak snowstorm nine months ago has prompted a baby splurge. (Don’t laugh, my friend use to work for statistics and [...]

A baptism is a magical time in a baby’s life. Regardless of which religious custom one follows, the ceremony, devotion and commitment to the sacrament is both beautiful and significant. The English word “baptism” has been used in reference to any ceremony, trial, or experience by which one is initiated, purified, or given a name.
