Calling All Momperts
Posted by JB on Tuesday Feb 10, 2009In our witty and captivating strategy sessions while developing Soapbox Mama, we came up with the perfectly accurate term “Mompert”; a woman who has talent and expertise in her particular field, yet is first and foremost a mom.
So many women I know have amazing and interesting careers. Many have gone to school half their lives obtaining PhDs and Doctorates, others have worked the corporate ladder to VIP and executive positions. Some have skilled labor positions, health care, child care, creative and management titles. All have passion for their work, their hobbies and the way they spend their leisure-time.
Like most women they are passionate and skilled, wanting to do all they can to better themselves and their careers. But more importantly, they are moms, protectors, teachers and supporters, wanting the best for their kids and not afraid to be opinionated about it.
Since women tend to have these amazing multi-faceted lives, and love to give and share information, I thought it would be great to utilize their skills on Soapbox Mama.
We are currently looking for new and diverse women who might enjoy the opportunity to offer information and advice in their area of expertise. All you have to do is be passionate about your work, have something to share and write it in the best way you know how. (Don’t worry, we have editors here, so just do your best and we will look after the technical grammar part).
Send us a little bio about yourself, and what you would like to talk about and we would love to add you to our roster of fabulous and amazing Momperts.
Standing on my Soapbox,
JB
